Police Investigate Elk County Robberies

FORCE, Pa. —

Police in Elk County are looking into several robberies over the last few months in the village of Force.

One of those robberies happened this week at the house of Laura Lovenduski.

She said someone broke into her house through a window and trashed several rooms.

She estimated the value of her stolen belongings at thousands of dollars.

"I went to get some film and came back to find my camera missing," Lovenduski said.

Several people in Force came together this week to put together a neighborhood watch program.

They're looking at a mandatory curfew to help cut down on the robberies.
