BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. —
Six horses were left in a pasture on a Bedford County farm.
Authorities are not revealing the name of the owner of the horses or the farm where the horses were rescued.
According to authorities the horses' owner had an agreement with a farmer to allow the horses to stay in the pasture. The farmer called authorities when the owner did not return.
So far, one of the six rescued had to be put down.
The organization Second Chance for Horses is helping the Humane Society care for and adopt the rescued horses.
