Police Investigating Weekend Crash

ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

State police are investigating a fiery weekend crash that left a truck driver in the hospital.

Troopers told WJAC that the man behind the wheel of a diesel tanker truck fell asleep along Route 22 late Saturday night.

That's when the tanker slammed into a semi and burst into flames. The driver was stuck inside as the tanker slide down a 50-foot embankment, according to police.

The driver's condition was not known as of Monday evening.
