SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. —

Pennsylvania State Police in Somerset are searching for a man they said assaulted a woman and rammed his truck into another vehicle, pushing it over an embankment.

The incident happened early Sunday just off Shaw Mine Road in Summit Township.

A warrant has been issued for the suspect, Scott Merrill.

The woman told police Merrill punched her several times in the face, then pushed her out of his truck. She said another man heard her screams and picked her up. Police said Merrill then rammed his truck into the other man's truck, nearly causing it to flip over. She told police Merrill then drove away.

Anyone with information on Merrill's whereabouts is asked to call police.
