Police seek person who killed 900-pound bison in animal preserve

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. —

Pennsylvania State Police in Centre County are investigating how a 900-pound bison was killed inside an animal preserve.

The bison was found in a fenced-in area of Trophy Rack Lodge in Moshannon, Burnside Township. State police said the bison had an arrow embedded it its carcass, and it was killed sometime in the past week.

Lodge officials put the value of the animal at $3,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Rockview.
