Police seize five pounds of marijuana, plants, from home

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. —

An Elk County man is in jail after police seized illegal drugs from a Johnsonburg home. 

State Police tell 6 News they executed a search warrant at the home of Edward Pisani, 54, on Thursday morning. 

Officials said they received a tip that illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were inside of a home along Second Ave. 

Authorities executed the search shortly after 6 a.m.

The Pennsylvania State Police SERT Team served the search warrant without incident. 

Police said Pisani was the only person inside of the home. 

Officials removed the following items: 32 marijuana plants, five pounds of processed marijuana, plant fertilizers, rolling papers, marijuana grow lights and ballasts, marijuana seeds, hemostats and a Glock 23C 40 caliber handgun.

6 News spoke with Pisani's mother, she said that her son was set-up.

Police took Pisani to District Justice George King's office where he was arraigned.

Pisani's bail was set at $25,000 cash.
