Police Take "Use Of Force" Training

Ebensburg —

The Police Commissioner from Bethlehem talked to the officers about different situations and the best way to handle them. They looked at policing issues from the communitys point of view as well as the police officers side. They also talked about how communication between the two is very important.

Francis Donchez is the Bethlehem Police Commissioner. He tells Channel 6 News, "We're not here to talk about the mechanics of it, the use of force, defensive tactics type thing. We're here to talk about why we need use of force policies, what should go into your policies, and also talk about the community input."

This use of force class was held by the Pennsylvania Community Regional Police Institute, the Mainline Police Association, and the Cambria County District Attorney's office.
