Police Warning Parents About Potentially Dangerous 'Treat'

Methamphedamine is a dangerous drug that dealers are making to look and taste like candy.

Officers said the drug, commonly known as "crystal meth" is being made to look and taste like candy, but is still the same form of the highly addictive stimulant.

It comes in flavors like orange, bubble gum, cherry and even chocolate and could be mistaken for rock candy or the popular brand of candy called Pop Rocks.

No one has reported they have come in contact with this form of meth in the area, but police said it is moving in the direction of the Alleghenies.

Police want parents looking at the bags before letting kids eat from it, and if they find any crystals, to bring them to police.

They also want parents looking for items with tears or rips and looks as if they have been tampered with.
