Shawn Sweeney pled guilty to third-degree murder and agreed to testify against his mother, Deborah Cummings, in his step-father's death.
According to prosecutors, Cummings led her son to believe her husband was abusing her and her life was at risk. Prosecutors said Cummings made up those allegations.
