Power Outage Prompts Opening Of Shelter

An emergency shelter has been opened in Richland Township, Cambria County because of a power outage. Power went out in the Johnstown suburb late Sunday night, and officials were not sure when it would be restored. An emergency official in Cambria County said power could be out anywhere from two hours to two days. Officials are asking you to check on your friends and family who may live in the area and direct them to the shelter at the Richland Fire Hall on Scalp Avenue. The shelter will remain open for the duration of the power outage.
