Preparations Underway For 15th Annual Folkfest

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. —

If you take a drive past Festival Park in Johnstown, you will see the tents and stages being put up for the 15th annual Folkfest.

The end of the summer music festival has become a Johnstown tradition for many families, looking to hear some good tunes and enjoy the food and friends.

Organizers said while the layout to Folkfest will be very similar to past years, there are some new music groups on tap. One of them is the group Jason and the Scorchers. They are reuniting just for the event and will have two special shows.

Some of the other new attractions include the first ever punk rock band at Folkfest called Red Collar, and a new children's program with Farmer Jason.

Members of the WJAC family will also be on hand to introduce musical performances.

The event kicks off on Friday and runs through Sunday.
