PSU Trustee Anthony Lubrano Speaks to 6 News: Demands Freeh Report Refund

By Gary Sinderson

STATE COLLEGE, Pa

A Penn State trustee wants Louis Freeh and his group to refund money to Penn State for that investigation into the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Trustee  Anthony Lubrano says  the report is incomplete. He's also suggesting Penn State isn't being honest about the true cost.

The crippling NCAA sanctions against Penn State- the result of the Freeh report. But how much did the report actually cost? The university maintains its $6.5 million.

Anthony Lubrano, Penn State trustee, says, “It didn’t, but I can’t reveal to you the actual costs, and I’ve talked to other board members and the chairman of the board about disclosing that information.”

Trustee Anthony Lubrano says the university doesn’t want to reveal the actual cost due to what it terms privileged information.

Lubrano adds, “We gave up our privilege when Freeh held his dog and pony show on July 12th.”

And now, in light of the findings of the experts hired by the Paterno family on the Sandusky scandal contradicting parts of the free report, Lubrano is asking for a refund.

Lubrano notes, “They did an incomplete  job and i think the Freeh group should return some or all of the money paid.”
