Quemahoning Pipeline Breaks

Customers in the Sipesville area are being asked conserve water after a major water main break in the Quemahoning pipeline.

Officials said they were notified around 10 a.m. Saturday about the break that happened off of Bakerville Edy Road off of Somerset Pike.

Pipeline and PennDOT crews have been working on the problem.

Crews aren't sure whether the blistering cold played a factor in the break, but they're asking water customers and fire departments to control their water use.
