Two men plead guilty.

BEDFORD COUNTY —

Two Bedford County men scam nearly 80 thousand dollars from 13 unsuspecting residents, all in the name of God.

74-year old John Snyder will spend the next 4 to 12 years in the state prison, while his counterpart Michael McGill will receive credit for the 30 days he spent in jail already and he has to pay the victims restitution. The two told the victims, mainly elderly, they needed money to start a church ministry and the givers would receive even more money in return. But they never did.

Snyder has a criminal record from a similar scam in 1997 in Arizona.
