Somerset County —
Governor Rendell has nominated veteran Somerset County attorney Sandra Upor to replace former county judge Kim Gibson on the common pleas bench. Gibson became a federal judge 16 months ago. Rendell's first nomination, former Somerset County District Attorney David Flowers, was held up in the Republican-controlled Senate, but was later withdrawn.
