Retail Thefts On The Rise In Richland Township

RICHLAND TWP, Pa. —

Richland thieves are getting smarter, but police are narrowing in on some possible suspects.

Investigators in Richland Township said high-ticket items at local stores are disappearing from the stores and being resold at other places.

They said the thieves tried to return the high-priced items at first, but the stores stopped allowing that to happen so now they are finding places to resell the products.

Investigators said they are working on several cases, some of which could be connected, and they said they hope to have some arrests soon.

Until then, they want customers to be aware they will need their receipts when returning expensive items in Richland Township.
