Richland Area School District Works Out A Plan

Richland Area School officials think they may have a solution to their building problems. They plan to make an offer to buy the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center. School officials say that option may actually be cheaper than trying to build a new school. The district is exploring other options, after bids on repairs to its current middle school came in much higher than expected. Under the plan, the Vo-Tech building would become the district's new junior-senior high school. Officials say they could even offer its current senior high to Cambria County Area Community college, which has also expressed interest in the Vo-Tech building.
