Richland Cinema Workers Mourn Employee's Death

 
The 6:45 P.M. shows at Richland Cinema Sunday were canceled after the cinema's projectionist Leon Noel suffered a heat attack and died.

It was a somber mood at the Cinema Monday a day after his death. Employees told WJAC-TV they were shocked that Noel, who worked at the cinema for nearly 18 years, had passed away. .

"It will be a long time until everyone can thoroughly get closure on all of that. It was just a real shock for him to go so quickly and to be here with all of us at the same time," said Ed Troll, owner of Richland Cinema.

Troll said all of the employees at the theater are like a family and are taking Noel's passing hard, but said he died doing what he loved.

Noel was 55-years-old.
