Rooftop Robber Caught On Tape

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

Richland Township Police said a man tried to break into a local pharmacy through the roof.

The East Hills pharmacy has motion sensors on the roof of the building, so when police said when Dennis Barkley tried to get into the building with power tools, it set off the security alarm, police said.

He was also caught on surveillance video.

When officers arrived on the scene, Barkley told police he was just waiting for someone in the parking lot, but a short time later they arrested him on breaking and entering charges.

Barkley is facing charges for the incident and is in the Cambria County Jail on $25,000 bond.

Police believe Barkley was trying to gain access to prescription drugs.
