Route 22 Reopened After Structure Fire

BURRELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

PennDOT crews have reopened Route 22 westbound in Burrell Township, Indiana County, after it was closed for hours following a structure fire.

Officials said emergency crews from at least thee counties were called about 2 a.m. to a structure fire at HMS Industries in Burrell Township.

It was not immediately known what may have sparked the fire, but there were no injuries reported, officials said.

The HMS Industries website stated the company manufactures custom metal stampings and has been in business since 1977.
