PennDot says it doesn't have the money for a new highway cooridor in Centre County. It's one of the heaviest traveled roads and according to the people that use it every day and live off of the road, it's one of the most dangerous. The plan was to upgrade the route 322/144 corridor to interstate 80 and now that it's not happening, some area residents are upset. It's a plus and a minus because she could have lost her business and home both along 322, for the construction of the new highway. This project is just one of nearly 25 projects that's being stopped because of a lack of money. PennDot says it will be at least ten years before this project even makes it back on the drawing board.
