Route 56 Highway Project

It may look like just statistics to you, but for one area mom killing the Route 56 highway project is personal. Vicki Shank Bretz went door to door in 1998 collecting signatures from her neighbors to try and get this bypass constructed. It's because her son was killed in a residential area clogged with traffic. Vicki has made it her goal to make sure her son's death wasn't in vain and right now she's losing hope and fears her efforts to make change have fallen on deaf ears. So a sad situation and despite the money already spent on the study that phase wasn't even complete.
