School Officials Have Flu Pandemic Plan

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. —

School officials say they have a flu pandemic plan in place in case swine flu should hit central Pennsylvania.

Leaders say because we are at the tail end of flu season they've been encouraging parents to teach their children proper hygiene techniques like washing their hands on a regular basis.

To re-enforce that teaching, school districts have installed hand sanitizer dispensers at high volume areas such as the cafeteria, auditorium, and band room.

All school officials say they work closely with the local hospitals and health departments in the area to ensure their student's safety.
