Shot Fired In Probation Office

EBENSBURG, Pa. —

The district attorney's office is investigating a shot fired in a Cambria County Office.

Wednesday morning a probation officer's gun went off at the probation office, sending a bullet through two walls.

Spokesman Ron Baker says the officer's gun went off in a room where several people were working, but where the gun went off and the direction of the bullet, did not put anyone danger. No one was injured.

Baker says that with it being a personnel issue, he cannot say what the officer's name is or whether or not that person is facing any disciplinary action.

This incident is being investigated by the district attorney's office to determine why the gun accidentally fired. More should be known about the accidental firing within the next couple of days.
