Six Pack Shops Worried About Sheetz Beer Sales

Owners of local beer businesses said if there is beer at Sheetz, it will be too much for them to compete with.

Owners of the Altoona Sheetz have an appeal filed with the state for forcing them to stop selling beer, and until a judge decides if their liquor license is invalid, they will be allowed to sell beer.

Even though sales are only happening at one location, some business owners said it will have a rippling effect, starting with Sheetz, then other convenience stores and eventually to Grocery stores.

Many locations that are close to Sheetz stores said they think it would eventually shut them down completely.
