Skiers taking advantage of slopes before spring

By Kerri Corrado

Flakes bring fun for all ages as people enjoy the day skiing with family and friends.

Some people chose to take off from work, while many kids were excited they didn’t have to go to school.

"That I get to play around with my friends. I can make an igloo,” Ava Robinson said.

But, not everyone likes to snowboard or ski.

"Well I always like throwing snowballs and stuff and I like making snow forts," Courtney Spicer said.

Some made Seven Springs a destination. People from Baltimore traveled here to enjoy the snow.

"We drove up here last night to get ahead of the storm. We knew we were going to get some snow and it wasn't positive around that area so we came up here," Jesse Oaks said.

Skiers say this was the best day on the slopes all season. It is bittersweet for some because forecasters are saying this is likely to be winter’s last big storm.

"I like coming out here to hang out with all my friends group of guys and girls hanging out with for years, pretty much family up here," John Rulli said.
