Skunks Tearing Up Yards In Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

Craig Cernic of Cernic's Campground has been out trapping pesky skunks this year. Cernic said it's an increasing problem.

On Thursday, Cernic walked a Westmont yard to find evidence of skunks. Cernic found holes in the yard and a hole under a fence where he believes the animals are coming in.

Cernic told WJAC-TV skunks can cause thousands of dollars in damage to yards.

Cernic set a trap filled with jam, sauerkraut and watermelon to catch the skunk overnight.

If someone in the Johnstown area has raccoon, groundhog or skunk problems, call Craig- Cernic at 814-242-8187.
