Soldiers Arrive At Frankstown Armory

Family and friends welcomed back 84 soldiers returning from Iraq.

Soldiers from the Bravo Company, Second Battalion 112th Infantry Regiment, of the 56th Stryker Brigade of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard returned to loved ones Monday.

There wasn't a dry eye as the soldiers, escorted by police and fire companies, pulled into the Frankstown Armory.

The soldiers spent the past nine months with the 56th Stryker Brigade in Iraq.

Their return marks the end of a year-long mobilization of the only stryker brigade in the National Guard and more than six months of combat operations north of Baghdad.
