Some Major Work Almost Done At War Memorial Arena

Cambria County —

Over $600,000 of major repairs, including iron reinforcements, are expected to be done by the end of the year at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.

Officials made temporary repairs so the Johnstown Chiefs could finish their season. Now, all the affected seats are again available for games this season. County Commissioner P.J. Stevens says they're in the final stages of negotiations as to what's covered under the insurance deductible, but says the county is liable for at least $25,000.
