WINDBER, Pa. —
According to Thursday's Daily American, the Child Care and Development Center in Windber could no longer afford to stay open.
The director of the center attributed the money woes to the recession, minimum wage hikes and the state budget impasse.
The center was operated by the First Presbyterian Church and 34 children were enrolled there.
Officials said six people will lose their jobs.
