Somerset Teen Remembered

SOMERSET —

15-year-old Christopher Truxal would have started 9th grade Monday, but instead is former football coaches and team mates are morning his tragic death.

Chris Truxal was hit by a truck while on his dirt bike Saturday night; he died Sunday morning. Chris was a popular football player at Somerset Junior High last year. He was the captain of the junior high football team and probably would have been a freshman team captain this year. The varsity coach, Steve Costea, says Chris was a great kid, with a bright future in football.

Chris's coach says his jersey will travel with the team for the entire season, which will be dedicated in his memory.

Crisis counselors are also being made available for students.
