University Park, Pa -- Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced their return to the Bryce Jordan Center on November 1 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the fall leg of the ‘Wrecking Ball’ World Tour.

The tour closes out an 11-week European run that has included three of the longest shows of Springsteen’s career and garnered universal acclaim, being called “gigantic” (Rolling Stone), “thrilling” (The Atlantic) and “the stuff of legend” (Irish Independent).  For the first E Street Band tour without the Big Man, the band will be augmented by a five-piece horn section, including Clarence Clemons’ nephew Jake Clemons and Eddie Manion on saxophones.

Bruce Springsteen is also the subject of a 19-page profile in this week’s newyorker.com by editor David Remnick. Remnick sheds light on Springsteen’s approach to recording and touring in 2012.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, August 4 at 10 a.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center, online at www.bjc.psu.edu or www.ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 814-865-5555.  Tickets: $102 for GA floor and reserved seating, $70.50 for reserved seating.

Event level sections nearest the stage will have paperless tickets issued.  Paperless tickets may only be used by the original ticket purchaser and are stored on the credit card used for purchase (no physical tickets are issued).  At entry on the night of the show the original ticket purchaser will present their photo id and the credit card used, and our ticket takers will issue seat receipts matching the section, row, and seat numbers of the tickets purchased.  Note that the name on the credit card MUST match the name on the photo id for entry, paperless tickets are non-transferrable.  For more details, please visit http://www.ticketmaster.com/paperless.

For those patrons purchasing tickets at the Bryce Jordan Center ONLY:  Numbered wristbands will be made available Friday, August 3 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  A wristband number will be randomly selected  on Saturday morning (August 4) at  9:00 a.m. to determine the line order. Those without a wristband will line up behind all customers who have been distributed a wristband.  Note that a wristband does NOT guarantee the opportunity to purchase a ticket.
