State College Woman Not Eligible For ARD After Drunken Driving Crash

Related

Centre County prosecutors told a State College woman she will not be eligible for Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition related to a drunken driving crash last December.

Police said 24-year-old Katherine Applegate was driving drunk when her sport utility vehicle struck and critically injured Penn State freshman Michael Drauch as he was crossing College Avenue.

Applegate applied for ARD as a first-time offender but the district attorney's office said because of the severity of the case, her request was denied.
