After recent speculation by voters, state Rep. Bud George came out publicly Wednesday morning and said he is not retiring and will fight to keep his seat.
Every 10 years, the state can redraw the legislative district based on population. Because of that, the future of the 74th district, which encompasses most of Clearfield County, is at risk of being redrawn.
In a statement sent to 6 News, George said the Republicans can't beat him at the ballot box. And this plan would cause Clearfield County to lose its voice in Harrisburg.
George, a Democrat, has won 19 straight elections.
