Stocking-Stuffer Gadgets Worth Buying

Sometimes, the hardest holiday presents to choose are those stocking stuffers for over the fireplace. But Good Housekeeping has some gadgets costing under $25 that might be just what Santa ordered.

"We tested a variety of products," said Rachel Rothman, test engineer, Good Housekeeping Institute. "One that performed extremely well was the Built New York Hoodie Camera Case. In our tests, it was able to hold three different digital cameras extremely securely. At $15, it also has a convenient wrist attachment, as well as a belt attachment."

And the Sprigs Banjees zippered wrist wallet can keep your valuables tucked away when you’re running a quick errand. Also at $15, they passed the Good Housekeeping water test, so you don’t need to worry about their getting wet.

"The SunStick which costs $10 for a pack of three is a great present for someone who has a garden and is always struggling as to what type of plants to purchase because they're not sure of the sunlight in their garden," said Kathleen Huddy, textiles director, Good Housekeeping Institute. "Just put the sticker on top, and the SunStick will change color based on what type of sunlight you have in that area of the garden."

And music fans can play their MP3 picks loud with the HMDX Speaker-on-the-Go Portable Speakers for only $10. Good Housekeeping’s testers loved its sound quality.

A final note: The Sprigs Banjees wrist wallet comes in 11 reversible styles. And Good Housekeeping says you can throw it in the washing machine. To learn more, check out the December issue of Good Housekeeping or visit www.goodhousekeeping.com.
