Storms Hit The Alleghenies Once Again

WESTMONT, Pa. —

Hot and humid weather made for a great day at the pool; however, Wednesday evening it made for some severe thunderstorms.

Mother Nature unleashed another round of storms on our region. In the Johnstown area, over 2,000 homes and businesses lost their power.

One house caught on fire after being struck by lightning, and quick work by firefighters put the fire out before it could spread.

Downed trees and branches were also a product of this latest storm.
