Students Stay Home From School

Johnstown —

Yesterday, nearly half of the students at Johnstown High School were absent because of a message on a cafeteria table that threatened their safety. The message alerted school officials who beefed up security.

With so many kids staying home, one school bus driver said she had only 10 kids on the bus compared with a usual 42. Students said the absenteeism could only be compared to the last day of school-- or the day after 9-11.
