Suspect In Super 8 Motel Brutal Attack Pleads Guilty

 

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

One of the six suspects charged in connection with a brutal attack at the Super 8 Motel in Richland Township has pleaded guilty.

Grover Christopher Mitchell pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy of robbery and aggravated assault on Aug. 26.

Court documents state there's no sentence agreement in Mitchell's case, but the commonwealth with not seek the mandatory five to 10 year prison term.

Mitchell's sentencing hearing is set for November.

Mitchell's co-defendants have trial tentatively set for November. All six men and women are accused of attacking two men with a sawed off shotgun and robbing them for a couple hundred dollars in April. Police said surveillance video shows the women let the four men into the side door of the Super 8 Motel.
