Suspended Licenses Reinstated

PennDOT is reinstating some suspended driver's licenses due to a legality.

The department said suspension notices issues in late November 2005 may not hold up in court.

The suspensions were related to offenses which occurred up to eight years prior.

After attorneys reviewed the suspensions, they found district judges may have lacked proper authority to hear cases which involved fleeing police and leaving the scene of an accident.

As a result, license suspensions issued in those cases will be lifted.
