FRANKSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

A girl was rushed to a Blair County hospital Wednesday after her head was impaled with a sword.

Officials tell WJAC-TV the incident happened at about 12 p.m. at a home on Drass Lane in Frankstown Township.

Police said the girl does not have life-threatening injuries and that the incident was believed to be an accident and at this time will not be investigated.

Blair County emergency dispatchers said several emergency crews were dispatched to the home and state police were called to provide an escort for the ambulance to get to the hospital faster.
