It's an ongoing investigation involving a Johnstown social studies teacher and coach. The state attorney general's office has confirmed they're looking into Dan Shipman's teacher certification. The attorney general's office told me today, they weren't ready to release any of this information about Shipman, but there was a leak outside of their office and by then it was too late. Since December 22, the attorney general's office has been conducting a criminal investigation surrounding Dan Shipman's teaching certification. Now this Johnstown teacher's attorney says there are two cases coming to surface. "One's a prospective criminal case and also administrative action in regard to his employment as a teacher and coach." Everyone we spoke to today says it's too early to determine anything concerning Shipman's career. It all goes back to innocent until proven guilty. Right now Shipman is still teaching and coaching at the Greater Johnstown School District.
