The young man whose claims of being abused as a child began the investigation of former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is speaking publicly for the first time.

Aaron Fisher, 18, said on ABC-TV's "Good Morning America" on Friday morning that he told his high school principal and others about the abuse, but nothing was done.

Fisher was also interviewed by People magazine and is scheduled to appear on "20/20" Friday night.

He said it's better to tell people about abuse than remain silent. His book comes out next week.
