Tenants Wanted For Johnstown 'Innovation Center'

Johnstown officials are looking for tenants for a building they said could revitalize the region.

The current Franklin Center Building could soon be known as an "innovation center." The location -- between the new Johnstown Tech Park and Central Park -- could have it poised for big success.

Ton Zinn, with Zinn Realty Corp., said they've had great tenants over the last 15 years and have retained most of them. But, the building currently has eight empty spaces.

Zinn said they are marketing the empty spaces at a great time because many startup companies will be in town this week for the Showcase For Commerce.

He said they have spaces form 290 square feet to 13,000 square feet available, and they are targeting young, startup companies in the software and medical fields.

Zinn also said they plan to do façade work to give the building a more high-tech look. He said they also have fiber optic cables connected to Memorial Medical Center that run along the Franklin Street corridor.
