Three armed robberies under investigation in DuBois

DuBois, Pa —

Police are investigating three armed robberies that happened this week in DuBois. 

The City of DuBois police began investigating an armed robbery that happened on New Years Eve along West Scribner Avenue. 

Police describe the suspect as a white male dressed in all black wearing a ski mask. Officials said the man brandished a gun and demanded money from the bank employee. 

The suspect is described as being between 5'5 and 5'7 tall with a slender build. 

Officials said the man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. 

On Friday afternoon at approximately 2:37 p.m. the city police responded to an attempted armed robbery at the S&T Bank along West Scribner Ave. 

Authorities said the suspect entered the bank, displayed a handgun and demanded cash.

Officials said the man fled prior to receiving money.

The suspect was last seen on West Fir Alley heading toward High Street.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'5-5'7 wearing a dark hooded jacket with thin light stripes down both sleeves, blue jeans, a camouflage mask and dark gloves.

Police in Sandy Township also responded to an armed robbery Friday afternoon.

Officials said it happened at approximately 3:47 p.m. at the Cash for Gold store in Sandy Plaza.

Police describe the suspect as a white male wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket and a ski mask.

Officials said the man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

There were no injuries.
