Torsell Guilty On All Counts In Deadly DUI Crash

Jury Deadlocked Before Reaching Verdict

Even after finding Anthony Torsell of Bellefonte, guilty of homocide by vehicle while DUI- along with other charges- several jurors indicated they struggled with the verdict Wednesday afternoon in Centre County court. Torsell was driving drunk last October when he plowed into two pedestrians at a State College intersection. One pedestrian died, and the other was seriously injured. Torsell's attorney argued other factors, including the weather, and the pedestrians crossing against the light- were involved in the crash.
