Tractor Trailer Accident In Downtown Johnstown

This just in to Channel 6 News -- There was a major traffic accident in downtown Johnstown. Channel 6 News has a crew on the scene and reports indicate that a tractor trailer, carrying Argon -- a non-flammable chemical, has overturned on Main Street. Severe damage was sustained to the truck, and utility lines have also been pulled down. At least one building has also been damaged as a result of the accident. The driver and an un-identified woman were taken to UPMC, where sources tell Channel 6 News the driver later died.

Drivers cannot use Main Street between Clinton and Adams Streets, Frankstown Road between Main Street and Vogel Street, and Adams Street between Bedford and Locust. All of these streets will be closed for several hours.
