Related

In downtown State College, there's something new to warn motorists to slow down for pedestrians.

Signs have now been posted at many busy downtown intersections. Pedestrian traffic in State College is always a factor, and with more pedestrian accidents in recently, the safety and prevention measures are being stepped up. The signs will remain for six months, a test to see if they are effective. They remind motorists to yield to pedestrians who are legally in the crosswalks.
