Tree Dispute In Johnstown

The prospect of cutting down a tree in an area neighborhood caused outrage from neighbors. But city officials say the project was within the law.

George Hadair, of the Moxham section of Johnstown, wants to cut down three trees and pave his front yard to allow his handicapped wife easer access to the home. Neighbors feel the remodeling would lower their property value, but the city says that since it's the homeowners responsibility to take care of the sidewalks, Hadair is within his rights to chop down the trees.
