Two Sentenced In Connection With Tucker Killing

Two people were sentenced to prison Monday for their role in a robbery-turned-killing in 2006.

James Mease and Damien Pierce were sentenced to two to eight years for conspiracy followed by nine months to two years for defamation of a corpse.

Police said the two men conspired to rob James Tucker in 2006. Tucker was found shot and burned to death near Blandburg, Cambria County.

Torone Dixon, the accused killer, was killed in a prison standoff late last year after taking a guard hostage.

The sentencing was of little consolation for Tucker's family.

Pamela Siler, Tucker's mother, said, "That was my only son and what am I supposed to do now? They can walk after two years. I am still going to be hurting for the rest of my life."

Christina DeStefano, the fourth person charged in connection with the killing, is scheduled to be sentenced at the end of February.

Defense attorneys said the district attorney's office reneged on a plea agreement they reached before sentencing.
