USA Today Says: State College Is The Best College Town In The Nation

A Massachusetts consulting firm has rated State college the most accessable college town in the nation. A story appearing this morning in USA Today says that 16% of all Penn State students walk or use public transportation to get to class and shop.

University Park became a non-vehicular campus a few years ago with widely spaced parking places and very few places to drive.

In addition, the rankings also gave Penn State a nod for the most internationally diverse student population.

The consultant's study suggests that students should be considering the off-campus experience as much as the on-campus experience when choosing a school.
